Hiking - Banff to Jasper
P8

You experience the most outstanding places in this fabulous landscape not just from the window of a car, but hiking and camping as much as possible away from the roads or even more impressive, from high above after a hearty climb to the top of a mountain. Don't worry about planning the details. Your guide has everything arranged, knows the best trails, activities and special places for every season.
| ITINERARY |
 |
Day 1: Banff National Park - This morning you meet with your guide as arranged in Calgary or in Banff. Transfer to the campground in Banff National Park. Get ready for the first hike on one of the many mountain trails.
Day 2: Banff National Park - On a full dayhike you explore passes above the tree line and alpine meadows. This evening you sit be the camp fire or walk along the busy streets of Banff with its many stores and visitors from around the world.
Day 3: Yoho National Park - This mountain wilderness in the western Rocky Mountains is known for it’s outstanding scenery and excellent hiking trails. Soon you'll find yourself hiking in the back country, trekking past glacier fields, azure lakes or flower-covered alpine meadows.
Day 4: Yoho National Park - There is an opportunity for a great whitewater rafting trip on the Kicking Horse River. Yoho Park has plenty of it’s own attractions like Takakkaw Falls or Emerald Lake and an extensive network of trails which allow you to reach the high alpine with fairly easy day hikes.
Day 5: Icefields Parkway - After the famous sites of Lake Louise, Morain Lake, Bow Summit and Peyto Lake the road climbs ever higher into the main ranges. Now it is time to hike on one of the great trails in this area.
Day 6: Jasper National Park - At the Columbia Icefields huge glaciers spawn rivers, which eventually reach three different oceans. You can walk on top of the Athabasca Glacier in your regular hiking boots.
Day 7: Jasper National Park - So many possibilities, swimming and a picknick at Pyramid Lake, mountainbiking, trailrides, canoeing and more. Or join the guide for a side trip to Maligne Lake and a last loop hike into the mountains overlooking this beautiful lake.
Day 8: Your tour ends after breakfast. Bus connections to Calgary, Edmonton or Banff.
